It is forbidden to intentionally dishonor the name of Allah. This includes throwing anything on which the name of Allah is written into a disrespectful place, such as trash. The name of Allah is glorified to honor the Holy Being, and it is obligatory to glorify Allah's names and keep them free from anything that is not befitting. Writing the names of Allah on stair steps is forbidden, as it involves their disrespect. Denouncing anyone who disrespects the Qur'an or the majestic لفظ الجلالة (the word "Allah") is obligatory to the best of one's ability. Whoever buys sweets with the name of Allah written on their wrapper does not commit a sin, but it is recommended to alert them to handle it in a manner befitting its sacredness.
