What is the ruling on listening to songs at weddings and attending them if it is obligatory, especially if one of the spouses is a relative, and are they forbidden?

It is not permissible to attend weddings that contain unlawful (haram) acts that cannot be changed, because doing so is an affirmation of the people of falsehood in their falsehood and a رضا (acceptance/acquiescence) of the evil. Many weddings nowadays are often not free from unlawful acts. If a Muslim is invited to a banquet where there is disobedience (to Allah) and he is unable to denounce it, then it is not permissible for him to attend.
