What is the reason for desiring that which is contrary to human nature (fitra), and how does this phenomenon spread, in the past and present? And does its existence indicate that it is a trial from God and not contrary to human nature?

It is not correct to define what goes against human nature (fitra) as: "that which a person cannot do, or at least does not do comfortably or enjoyably," because there are those who suffer a complete regression, finding no desire or pleasure except in filth. As for those who retain some of their natural disposition, they are repelled by such deviations and blame themselves.

That a person is exposed to deviant desires due to environment, companionship, or corrupt media, coupled with the self that incites evil, is a type of trial. Imam Ahmad narrated from Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that those who desire sin but do not act upon it are those whose hearts Allah has tested for piety; they will have forgiveness and a great reward.
