Is it permissible to benefit from the remaining part of the house after I have been fully compensated for the house and the part located in the path of the road has been demolished?

There is no objection to the questioner benefiting from the remaining part of his house or land after the state has taken a portion of it to construct a road, whether the compensation paid was for the entire house and the state purchased the remainder then gifted it to him, or if it was compensation for the demolished portion and the damage incurred to the house. In both cases, the remaining part remains the property of its owner, who may benefit from it as he wishes.
