Will a person be held accountable for everything he did in this worldly life?

Every person is responsible for their deeds: the righteous believer enters Paradise, and the disbeliever enters Hellfire, as Allah Almighty said: "Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses - We will drive them into a Fire. Every time their skins are roasted through, We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allah is ever Exalted in Might and Wise. But those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding eternally therein. For them therein are purified spouses, and We will admit them to a shade, ample and cool." Righteous deeds benefit their doer, while evil deeds harm their perpetrator. Allah is self-sufficient, free of need from all creation, and He multiplies good deeds tenfold, whereas an evil deed is recompensed only by its like. Righteous deeds such as prayer, zakat, fasting, and Hajj are rewarded with Paradise, while evil deeds such as disbelief and murder are punished with Hellfire, unless one repents. All deeds are recorded, and Allah accepts only what is done sincerely for Him and in accordance with the Sunnah of His Prophet. On the Day of Judgment, every person will see their deeds and be given their book: whoever is given their book in their right hand will enter Paradise, and whoever is given it in their left hand or from behind their back will enter Hellfire.
