Is a father sinful for the times he is overcome by sleep and misses the Fajr prayer, and is his daughter sinful if she does not wake him out of compassion for him?

One who is overcome by sleep and misses prayer, after having taken measures to wake up, is not sinful, for the hadith states: "There is no negligence in sleep." Negligence occurs while awake. Al-Shawkani is of the view that the hadith includes sleep before the prayer time begins or after it has begun but before it becomes too late. However, one who intentionally sleeps to miss the prayer time is sinful. Ibn Baz clarifies that if sleep overcomes a person involuntarily, there is no sin. But if it is due to negligence in setting alarms or staying up late, then it is sinful. And leaving a sleeping person without waking them for prayer does not amount to disbelief.
