There is no evidence for the prophethood of Al-Ees ibn Ishaq, and the most probable view is that he followed the religion of his father Ishaq and his grandfather Ibrahim. Al-Ees married the daughter of his paternal uncle Ismail, as mentioned by Ibn Qutaybah and Al-Tabari. Ibn Qutaybah stated that Al-Ees is the father of the Romans and married the daughter of his paternal uncle Ismail, while Al-Tabari mentioned that Ismail made a will for his brother Ishaq and married his daughter to Al-Ees.
