What should a wife do whose husband divorced her because she confronted him about his attempts to attract the attention of his brother's wife, having noticed an exchange of glances and compliments between them, especially with the husband's insistence on approaching his brother's wife after the divorce, and is she obligated to prevent this relationship?

If there is an emotional relationship between a husband and his brother’s wife, the wife should not return to her husband until he severs this relationship. The wife and anyone aware of the matter must denounce this relationship and seek help from those who can deter them. They should also admonish the brother's wife and threaten to inform her husband.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against the danger of a husband's male relatives (ahma') to women, cursed the dayyouth (one who lacks ghira—protective jealousy—over his household), prohibited inciting a wife against her husband, and forbade the severance of kinship ties.
