What is the method for acknowledging what has been denied by one who disbelieved, and is that by verbally affirming that it is the truth from Allah and believing in it?

The repentance of an apostate and every disbeliever is through their conversion to Islam, which is by bearing witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. If their apostasy was due to denying an obligatory act or the like, then their repentance is by uttering the two testimonies of faith along with affirming what they denied, such as affirming the obligation of prayer or the prohibition of fornication and usury, or by saying: "I am innocent of every religion that contradicts the religion of Islam."
