Is placing a sealed-screen phone, which has the Qur’an on it, under the foot considered an act of disbelief (kufr)? And is jokingly saying “paradise is for him” about someone considered a slander against Allah that leads to disbelief?

We advise you to stay away from obsessive thoughts and from giving in to Satan regarding matters of takfir (declaring someone an apostate). Turn away from these whispers and do not pay attention to them, for their consequences are dire, and turning away from them is the best remedy.

Know that a mobile phone does not have the ruling of a Mushaf (copy of the Quran), nor do its rulings apply to it, even if it contains written or recorded Quran.

Sheikh Abd al-Rahman ibn Nasir al-Barrak said: "It appears that a mobile phone and similar devices differ from the presence of the Quran in a Mushaf. It does not exist in its readable form, but rather in the form of vibrations from which letters are formed as an image when requested. The screen then appears and disappears when moving to something else. Therefore, it is permissible to touch the mobile phone or a tape on which the Quran is recorded, and it is permissible to read from it, even without tahara (purification)."
