Is the Khalwatiyya tariqa in Egypt documented, and does Al-Azhar have a stance on it?

Based on the testimony of those who lived the Tariqa, it shares with Sufis in general the innovation of litanies (awrad), methods (kayfiyyat), and timings that were not known in the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions. Their gatherings include seeking assistance from the Messenger and some of their shaykhs, such as their saying: "Madad (aid) O white-faced one - Sidi (Masafisi) madad madad," which is major shirk (polytheism) that expels one from the fold of Islam. Moreover, most of their dhikr (remembrance of Allah) is Allah by the singular name, accompanied by distorted and repulsive emotional movements.
