What should I do about repeated lying after I stopped swearing falsely by Allah?

Lying is forbidden, and its prohibition intensifies when it involves a perjurious oath (al-yameen al-ghamūs). What occurred before puberty carries no sin, as the pen is lifted from the minor. As for what occurred after puberty, it necessitates sincere repentance (tawbah nasūḥ) and an increase in good deeds, for repentance erases sins. The majority of scholars hold that repentance is the expiation for an oath sworn falsely. Some scholars, however, are of the view that expiation is obligatory alongside repentance, and this is the more cautious approach. Expiation is obligatory for each oath if the number can be recalled; otherwise, caution is warranted. Repeated oaths concerning the same matter require only one expiation.
