Is it permissible to pray behind an imam who lies, breaks promises, hurts people, follows a "divide and conquer" policy, exploits the pulpit to defend himself and people who have stolen, and leads the audible prayers through external loudspeakers of the mosque?

If the Imam possesses the described characteristics, he should be advised and guided with gentleness and wisdom. Prayer behind him is valid, but praying behind someone else is more preferable and complete. The use of loudspeakers outside the mosque without need is not Islamically required. The questioner is advised not to abandon congregational prayer, because the harms of abandoning the congregation are greater than the harm of praying behind this Imam.
