Is there a Sunnah prayer after Fajr prayer?
The Fajr prayer does not have a Sunnah prayer after it. However, it has a regular Sunnah prayer before it (two rak'ahs), which is the most emphasized of the regular Sunnah prayers. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, never abandoned it, whether at home or while traveling. Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was never more diligent in observing any voluntary prayer than the two rak'ahs of Fajr" (Bukhari and Muslim). He, peace and blessings be upon him, also said: "The two rak'ahs of Fajr are better than the world and everything in it" (Muslim). It is recommended to recite Surat Al-Kafirun and Surat Al-Ikhlas in them. If someone misses the Sunnah prayer before Fajr, they may pray it after the Fajr prayer, based on the hadith of Qais ibn Amr and the Prophet's, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "There is no harm," meaning there is no harm in praying them at that time, and his silence, peace and blessings be upon him, indicates permissibility.
