Is حمد (praise) the highest degree of شكر (gratitude)? If not, then what is its highest degree?

Praise (al-Hamd) is more profound and comprehensive than gratitude (al-Shukr). It is an extolment of Allah for His perfect attributes, His blessings, and other things, whereas gratitude is in return for a blessing or a favor. Scholars have clarified that praise is gratitude and more. As for the degrees of gratitude, Ibn Juzayy and Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned that there are three, the highest of which is for the one expressing gratitude to be oblivious to the blessing itself by contemplating the Giver of the blessing.
