Is a young man who is sexually attracted to men obligated to inform his fiancée of this matter before marriage? And is concealing that considered a deception to her?
Homosexuality is a grave disease and a malicious affliction. To be cured of it, one must distance themselves from its causes, which stem from: weakness of faith, uncontrolled gazing at effeminate men, negligence in fulfilling obligations and supererogatory acts of worship, abandoning the Qur’an and reading the biographies of the righteous, shortcomings in seeking knowledge, excessive idleness, befriending bad companions, and abstaining from marriage. The afflicted person must understand that this ailment can be cured through sincerity to Allah, repentance, and uprightness. They must also seek treatment and not blame fate or dispute Allah in His creation, for the argument is for Allah against the servant, not the reverse. It is recommended to hasten to marriage as a solution for chastity, with the necessity of sincere repentance first, before marriage, so as not to deceive the other party.
