Is a person considered a masturbator if they reached the stage just before sleep and engaged in masturbation unintentionally, and did not feel the remorse that follows intentional masturbation?

If you committed the sin while awake and of sound mind, then you must repent to Allah Almighty by abandoning the act, resolving not to return to it, and regretting what you have committed. You should also guard your thoughts and avoid thinking about what arouses desires, replacing such thoughts with what benefits you in religion and in this world. Furthermore, occupy yourself with the remembrance of Allah Almighty until sleep overcomes you. However, if this occurred while you were not of sound mind, then there is no accountability upon you.
