What is the ruling on one who views sex as an act of worship, and how can he rid himself of this sin?

Viewing nakedness, pornographic images, and films is forbidden and exposes the beholder to Allah's wrath and punishment. This is a form of "zina of the eye" (adultery of the eye), about which the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, warned: "Indeed, Allah has decreed for the son of Adam his share of zina (adultery), which he will inevitably attain. The zina of the eye is looking, the zina of the tongue is speaking, and the soul wishes and desires, and the private part confirms or denies all of that." Whoever persists in looking at these forbidden things may fall into actual zina, and zina of the private part is a greater sin than zina of the eye.
