How should a married couple act when they differ on matters of fiqh, if each of them supports a different fatwa?

A wife must obey her husband except in sin, or that which harms her, or infringes upon her rights. Her obedience to her husband differs in controversial matters related to acts of worship or supererogatory acts that affect the husband's rights, or in matters of permissible things, or what she considers obligatory, forbidden, or an innovation. Therefore, a wife should not do what she is not convinced of if her husband orders her to do it, and it is not permissible for her to perform supererogatory acts that affect the husband's rights. The husband can forbid her from permissible things or compel her with his opinion if he deems it forbidden, and she must obey him if her action offends him. However, there is no obedience to him in abandoning an obligation, or committing a forbidden act, or an innovation. The marital relationship should be based on affection, understanding, and living together honorably.
