What should I do regarding my wife's recalcitrance (nushuz) and my daughters' disobedience, especially the ill daughter, knowing that my discussions with them negatively affect their health, which is already impacted by illness? And is my silence considered a dereliction of duty or cuckoldry (dayatha)?

This affliction magnifies the reward and expiates sins. Addressing such situations requires patience, wisdom, and kindness, while avoiding excessive direct advice. The daughter's understanding must be corrected: her obedience to her father is obedience to Allah, for Allah has commanded obedience to parents. The father must fulfill his duty of guardianship over his family. The transgressions that occur, as long as they do not affect the core of religion and honor, are not cuckoldry, for cuckoldry is condoning indecency within one's family.
