What should I do with my wife, whom I see as stubborn, who tells her family everything, does not commit to prayer, and refuses to have another child under the pretext of studying, despite my strong desire to have a male child? We advise you to counsel your wife gently and kindly, explaining the immense importance of prayer, the obligation of her obedience to you, and warning her of the consequences of nushuz. If she persists in her state, we advise you to divorce her.
