What should a husband do with his wife who shows aversion to his family, is quick to anger and sensitivity, is remiss in her duties, and their quarrels are ceaseless, while he is conflicted between divorcing her or staying with her for fear of wronging her, knowing that she is religious?

If a wife withholds her husband's conjugal rights, she is considered rebellious (nashiz). Her rebellion is addressed by following the steps outlined in the Holy Quran. The husband is advised to be patient with her, supplicate for her righteousness, and not resort to divorce unless its benefit outweighs other considerations. Divorcing her in such a case is not considered an injustice to her.
