Is it permissible to gift a male university colleague my personal perfume for his birthday, knowing that he requested it from me, and that wearing perfume for women may be unlawful?

It is not permissible for a woman to wear perfume when leaving her home, whether a little or a lot, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Any woman who perfumes herself and passes by a group of people so that they may smell her fragrance, then she is a fornicator." It is also not permissible to give gifts on the occasion of birthdays, and friendship between genders outside of marriage is forbidden by Islamic law. Therefore, it is not permissible to give a gift to the aforementioned person, and one must avoid befriending him.
