ما الرد على من يطعن في ابن عباس؟

Muslims must love the Companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, because Allah praised them in the Quran and Sunnah, and because of their striving to support the religion and deliver it to us in its pure form. All of them are considered trustworthy by the Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah.

Slandering the Companions is a sign of the people of innovation and heresy who seek to invalidate the Sharia by discrediting its narrators. Whoever slanders the Companions is in reality slandering the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and aims to invalidate the Book and the Sunnah, because they are the ones who transmitted the Quran and Sunnah to us.

Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, is the scholar and jurist of this Ummah, and the Imam of Tafsir. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated for him to gain understanding in religion and to learn interpretation, the Book, and wisdom.
