What is the ruling on money earned from shaving beards in barbershops?

Shaving the beard and trimming it are forbidden and reprehensible acts, and taking payment for such is unlawful. Whoever commits this must repent and give in charity what they have earned, if they were aware of the ruling. If they were ignorant, then what has passed is theirs, and they must be cautious in the future. The Prophetic traditions emphasize letting beards grow and trimming mustaches, in opposition to the polytheists and the Magians. It is incumbent upon a Muslim to obey the command of Allah and not be deluded by the large number of those who violate this Sunnah.
