Is it permissible to compile questions from books by other authors—without additions—and organize and sell them to students, sometimes mentioning the sources and other times concealing them? And is it necessary to refer back to the authors, especially if the books state a prohibition against نقل (transmitting) or اقتباس (quoting) without permission?

There is no objection to a teacher using his notes with copies from a copyrighted book. This is not considered an infringement of rights as long as he attributes the material to the book from which it was quoted. As for quoting from the works of others without referencing the sources, this is a form of claiming what one does not own and falls under academic plagiarism. There is no objection to benefiting from a book even if its author explicitly prohibits quoting from it.
