If the deceased leaves behind only the father, wife, sons, and daughters, then the father receives one-sixth (1/6) as a fixed share due to the presence of an inheriting offspring, and the wife receives one-eighth (1/8) as a fixed share due to the presence of an inheriting offspring. The remainder is distributed among the sons and daughters by ta'sib (residuary inheritance), with the male receiving the share of two females. The brothers, their sons, and the sisters do not inherit. The inheritance is divided into 264 shares: 44 shares for the father, 33 shares for the wife, 34 shares for each son, and 17 shares for each daughter. It is obligatory to refer inheritance matters to the Sharia courts for their consideration and investigation to ensure everyone's rights.
