Are the diseases that afflict me, the harsh treatment from my family, and the humiliation and disgrace from people a punishment or a trial? And what should I do if it is a punishment?

As long as you have repented to Allah, the sin will not harm you. As for afflictions, repel what can be repelled by means of causes, otherwise, be patient and strive in supplication and drawing closer to Allah, for it brings good and repels evil.
