Is it permissible to reside in a house built on a Hindu cemetery, especially given the presence of strange sounds and traces, and the widespread rumors of ill-fortune and poor health befalling those who inhabit the place?

If it is confirmed that a place is where Allah’s wrath and anger descend, then one must leave it, fearing that what befell its inhabitants—the punishment—might also befall you. This is based on the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) saying when passing through Al-Hijr: "Do not enter the dwellings of those who wronged themselves, unless you are weeping, lest you be afflicted with what befell them." You must also believe that all matters are in the hands of Allah, and no one possesses the power to benefit or harm except by His permission.
