Is it prescribed for the prostration of recitation to be performed in congregation, such that one person leads them, saying "Allahu Akbar" and prostrating, and they prostrate with him, then he says "Allahu Akbar" and they rise, as occurs in a Quranic study circle?

This is permissible according to some jurists, as Al-Zarkashi, Al-Qadi, and Al-Baghawi hold the view that it is permissible for the listener to prostrate with the reciter in prostration outside of prayer. It is recommended outside of prayer for the listener to prostrate with the reciter and not to raise their head before them. It is also recommended for the reciter to go forward and for the people to line up behind them and prostrate, as the reciter is the imam for the listeners.
