هل تريد شرح "لقد منّ الله"؟
The phrase "لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ" (Indeed, Allah has conferred favor upon the believers) appears in Surat Aal Imran, verse 164. This meaning also occurs in other verses, such as Al-Baqarah: 151, At-Tawbah: 128, and Al-Jumu'ah: 2. These verses illustrate the عظَم (greatness) of Allah's favor upon humanity by sending Muhammad, peace be upon him, and especially upon the believers for the completion of the blessing. Al-Alusi stated that "منَّ" means to bestow a favor and to grant a bounty. The exegetes explained that the believers are singled out for this favor because they are the ones who benefit from his mission, understanding his words and finding comfort in him as a human being, and emulating him, as in His (Allah's) saying: "لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ" (There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern).
