In Arabic, "al-in'am" (الإنعام) means to convey goodness to others. It is exclusively used for sentient beings, as in the Almighty's saying: "And [remember, O Muhammad], when you said to him on whom Allah bestowed favor and you bestowed favor, 'Keep your wife and fear Allah.'"
