Is the teacher considered to be outside the group because she does not participate in her colleagues' home gatherings, preferring to return to her own home and limiting herself to necessary visits, even if some of these gatherings include religious lessons?

A Muslim should associate with the righteous and avoid gatherings where gossip and idle talk abound, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not accompany anyone but a believer, and let no one eat your food but a pious person." If colleagues are righteous and their gatherings are beneficial, leading to increased knowledge and avoiding backbiting and slander, then it is better to associate with them and benefit from them. However, if their gatherings violate Islamic law, then one should not mix with them, for Allah Almighty says: "And He has already sent down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah being denied and ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them." Nevertheless, it is preferable to gently alert them to their mistakes. The believer who mixes with people and patiently endures their harm is better than one who does not mix with them. If female colleagues hold religious lessons and benefit from each other, then it is better to associate with them and cooperate with them in righteousness and piety, for Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Not associating with them is not considered a departure from the community in Islamic law.
