Is maintaining prayer one of the reasons for the acceptance of supplication?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Preserving prayer is one of the greatest means for a supplication to be answered. Allah Almighty has promised to answer the supplication of the one who supplicates if he responds to Him, and prayer is a form of response. Many scholars have recommended supplicating after the obligatory prayers, based on the hadith: "Which supplication is most heard?" He said: "The last part of the night, and after the obligatory prayers." There are other positions for supplication during prayer that are more likely to be answered, such as prostration, based on the Prophet's (PBUH) saying: "The closest a servant is to his Lord is while he is prostrating, so increase your supplication therein," and like supplicating before the taslim after the tashahhud. So, whoever preserves the prayers and supplicates during his prayer or outside of it, that will be a reason for his supplication to be answered.
