Does a father's triple divorce of his wife take effect based solely on his informing his son, given the son's delayed knowledge of the news, and is concealing this considered an injustice to the other heirs in the division of inheritance?

The brother must inform his father's wife of her divorce. If she denies the divorce, her word is to be accepted and she inherits. However, if she acknowledges the triple divorce or the expiration of her waiting period (iddah) from him, then the time of the divorce's occurrence should be considered. If it was not during a death-sickness, she has no right to inherit. But if it was during a death-sickness, the preponderant opinion is that she inherits from him. "Death-sickness" refers to an illness that doctors generally determine to be fatal. It is advisable to refer the matter to the Sharia court.
