What is meant by "سلطانه القديم" in the supplication for entering the mosque?

The aforementioned was narrated by Abu Dawud in his Sunan. His saying, "and His ancient sovereignty (Sultan)" means His ancient proof, or demonstration, or subjugation. And Al-Sultan is subjugation, and Al-Qadeem (ancient) is the eternal, everlasting.
