What is the ruling on playing games that contain characters of sorcerers for the purpose of entertainment and without being influenced by their beliefs?

It is not permissible for adult men to play with three-dimensional figures, especially if they represent sorcerers. An exception is made for young girls playing with dolls, based on what was narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) allowed her to play with them.

If the games do not contain three-dimensional figures, then imitating sorcerers and resembling them in such games—even for the purpose of entertainment—is a serious matter, for "whoever imitates a people is one of them." Therefore, one must abstain from such games and replace them with permissible forms of sports.
