Electronic games that promote magic are not permissible to watch or play, due to their glorification of magic and sorcery, which contradicts the religion of Islam. Playing these games does not constitute major disbelief unless it is accompanied by a disbelief-inducing belief, such as believing that someone other than Allah has the power to transform.

If the game is stripped of magic and sorcery and contains no other violations, then it is permissible to play, provided that it does not lead to neglecting one's obligations.
