Is working in tax offices considered forbidden (haram), and is the money saved from this work for buying a home and for charities to build mosques forbidden (haram) or unacceptable?

The state is permitted to collect taxes for public interests under certain conditions. If these conditions are met, then working in tax collection is permissible, and the earnings from it are lawful (halal). However, if these conditions are not met, then collecting taxes is not permissible, nor is working in it, and the earnings from it are unlawful (haram); due to the Almighty’s saying: "My Lord, for the favors You have bestowed upon me, I will never be a supporter of the criminals."
