Is marriage an act of the Afterlife or a worldly pleasure?

Marrying with the intention of performing acts of obedience, such as emulating the Prophet (peace be upon him), having righteous offspring, or protecting oneself from sin by safeguarding private parts, eyes, and heart, makes it an act of the Hereafter for which the doer is rewarded. However, if none of these intentions are present, then it is merely permissible, a worldly act and a personal desire, carrying neither reward nor sin.
