What is the Shar'i (Islamic legal) opinion regarding how to deal with the wife's family who caused family disputes and asked their daughter for a divorce, knowing that the husband does not want to sever ties of kinship with his wife, and at the same time does not wish to resume his relationship with them due to their constant interference in his personal life?

We advise you to hold on to your wife; it seems she is righteous. If you fear that her family might corrupt her religion or morals, then there is no harm in taking her to another country. This is your duty to protect her from the Hellfire, as Allah commanded: (O YOU WHO HAVE BELIEVED, PROTECT YOURSELVES AND YOUR FAMILIES FROM A FIRE). Let her communicate with them remotely through writing or phone calls, and both of you should advise them and invite them to Allah with wisdom and good counsel. Your wife has a greater share in this due to her influence over them, and both of you should supplicate to Allah for their guidance.
