Do parents' orders to cut hair have to be obeyed?

It is permissible for a woman to lengthen and care for her hair, and there is no harm in that. If the parents order her to cut her hair, there are two scenarios:

First: If the haircut resembles men's hair or the hairstyles of immoral women, then their obedience is not permissible, because "There is no obedience in disobedience; obedience is only in what is right."

Second: If the haircut is permissible, such as shortening long hair, then their obedience is not obligatory, because obedience to parents is obligatory in matters that benefit them, not in matters that do not.

However, it is advisable to obey them in a permissible haircut if it does not involve disfigurement or harm to the woman, even if it goes against her desire. This is because obedience to parents, even if not obligatory in this case, is a reason for their satisfaction, which in turn is a reason for the satisfaction of Allah, the Almighty: "The pleasure of the Lord is in the pleasure of the parent, and the displeasure of the Lord is in the displeasure of the parent."
