The answer

Yazid ibn Mu'awiyah was not a Companion (Sahabi), and he committed grave actions for which scholars have ruled him to be a transgressor (fasiq). The preponderant view among scholars is to refrain from cursing him. We are inclined to neither invoke mercy upon him nor express satisfaction with him due to the grave matters he committed, and we entrust his affair to Allah Almighty.
