The story of Adam's creation is explicitly mentioned in the Quran, where Allah Almighty created him with His own hands from clay and breathed into him of His spirit. This negates the possibility that he came from a non-human lineage, as stated in the verse: (When your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration"). The Hadith of Intercession confirms this, and the noble verse: (Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created him from dust; then He said to him, "Be," and he was) is evidence of Adam's direct creation from dust by the divine command "Be," not through a sequence or lineage.
