Is it permissible to remain with a husband who treats his wife like a "servant," does not sleep with her, and only speaks to her about essential matters, after he divorced her for the second time and then took her back?
If a husband takes his wife back after the second divorce and does not divorce her again, she is still under his marital bond. Neglecting the wife and treating her poorly does not make her forbidden to him. It is incumbent upon both spouses to live together in kindness. It is not permissible to insult, beat, or neglect the wife without a valid reason, just as it is not permissible for the wife to abandon her husband or refuse to fulfill his rights without an excuse.
It is advised that the spouses reach an understanding. If that is not possible, an arbiter from his family and an arbiter from her family should intervene to reconcile them, or to separate them if reconciliation is not possible.
