Is delaying prayer beyond its prescribed time and congregation, and not arranging missed prayers as soon as possible, considered a reprehensible act that is not taken into account, despite maintaining dhikr and istighfar?

Remembrance of Allah (Dhikr) and seeking forgiveness (Istighfar) are rewarded actions. However, evil deeds cancel out good deeds. Missing a prayer at its prescribed time is a grave sin and a major transgression, greater than fornication, theft, consuming alcohol, and killing a soul. Some scholars even consider the perpetrator of this act an apostate. Abandoning congregational prayer is impermissible. A Muslim must sincerely repent from these sins, resolve to abandon what displeases Allah, and perform their religious obligations. Scholars differ on making up missed prayers and whether ترتيب (sequential order) is obligatory. The Shafi'i school of thought does not consider sequential order obligatory. However, it is more cautious to observe sequential order to avoid disagreement among scholars.
