Ibn al-Jazari chose the narration of Hafs from the paths of Ubayd and Amr, and he chose the path of Amr from the paths of al-Fil and Dharaan. He chose the path of al-Fil from Ibn Khulay', al-Tabari, and al-Hammami from several books. He chose the path of Dharaan from Ghayat Abi al-Ala, al-Misbah, Kifayat Abi al-Izz, al-Tidhkar, and al-Mustanir, and from the paths of al-Hammami and al-Masahifi, and from the recitation of al-Dani, al-Farisi, and al-Sawasanjaradi.
