Is it legislated to cut off communication with the families of colleagues who died in a painful accident, or to continue it? And is the action of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, of maintaining ties with the female friends of Lady Khadijah considered to be from this chapter?

Among the acts of loyalty to a friend is to honor their family and friends after their death. This is part of fulfilling covenants and a sign of faith, just as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did with Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her, and her friends. However, the circumstances of the deceased's family should be considered. If your contact with them increases their sorrow and reminds them of their affliction, then it is better not to contact them or to delay it until they have overcome their grief. But if they are patient and are pleased by your contact, then continue with it, for this is a righteous deed and a part of faith.
