Can certain modern appearances (such as wearing specific types of luxurious eyeglasses) be prohibited by analogy to the prohibition of isbal, even if the intent is not arrogance?

Arrogance is forbidden, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, defined it as "rejecting the truth and despising people." As for wearing luxurious clothes and expensive glasses, the basic ruling is permissibility, provided it is free from extravagance, based on the Almighty's saying: (Say, "Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good things of provision?"). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also said: "Indeed, Allah is beautiful and loves beauty," when he was asked about a man who likes his garment to be beautiful and his sandals to be beautiful. This permissibility is conditioned on not intending arrogance, and this applies to anything intended for arrogance, even if it is cheap. This cannot be compared to isbal (letting one's garment hang below the ankles), which has been explicitly and restrictively forbidden by textual evidence.
