What is the ruling on placing paid advertisements on a website, whether from advertising companies or by participating in the Google AdSense service, and what is the Islamic legal standard for these advertisements?

Advertising on the internet or elsewhere is permissible if the advertised item is lawful. There is no objection to taking a fee for it, provided the fee is known. As for subscribing to the Google AdSense service, it is not permissible because its terms accept advertisements for interest-based and forbidden websites, which is considered cooperation in sin and and aggression.
